Dec 12th - 2 to 15+ cms new snow fell earlier this week depending on area and elevation. In the lower valley percipitation came as rain / wet snow, with drier snow falling higher up. All trails have been roller packed or snow machine packed in the last couple days and the base has improved in most areas, but the snowpack is still thin and many early season hazards exist.

The best conditions are found on Wedge Connector and the Kananaskis Village area trails, as well as Skogan Pass, though no grooming has occurred here and more snow is needed lower down before the snowcat can head out. Forecasted warm temperatures may deteriorate an already thin base quickly in the coming days.
