Alturas Lake Trails
Winter is coming and in preparation for Nordic Ski season, the Sawtooth Ski Club is holding two trail workdays to prep the Alturas and Park Creek Nordic Trails. So, if you are a Nordic skier and enjoy getting in some kilometers over the pass, or just like to lend a hand, think about joining them.
· PARK CREEK WORKDAY: Saturday, October 25th at 10am
· ALTURAS SKI TRAILS WORKDAY: Sunday, October 26th at 10 AM
Meet: at the parking areas at 10am
Bring: gloves, chainsaws, hand saws, brush loppers, snacks or sack lunch, goodies, and water. Plan on spending about 2-3 hours clearing the trails.
The Sawtooth Ski Club snowmobile grooms multiple days each week at Park Creek and Alturas for skate and classic Nordic skiing. Be prepared for variable snow conditions and a more old fashioned, home-grown skiing experience on beautiful trails. The weather can be wilder in the Sawtooth Valley.
